The brief

What the business needed

Daniel James Furniture approached Whiteski Digital as they began expanding into supplying and selling their own furniture range, initially targeting the B2B market. The project presented a unique challenge due to the large volume of products needing to be imported from supplier databases whilst still maintaining a premium and highly branded online experience.

The objective was to create a beautiful, modern furniture website that aligned closely with the wider Daniel James Group branding, whilst also introducing its own visual distinction and customer journey tailored specifically to the furniture side of the business.

The design

Web design for Daniel James Furniture

The website design followed the premium branding direction established across the Daniel James Group, whilst introducing a slightly different colour palette to help distinguish the furniture division from the core business.

The result was a visually stunning and highly modern website that showcases products professionally whilst maintaining an easy and enjoyable user experience throughout. Strong use of imagery, subtle animations on scroll and clean layouts gave the website a premium feel designed to stand the test of time.

The website also featured:

Bespoke navigation menus

Custom project and inspiration areas

Blog sections for ongoing content

Highly visual product displays

Clear and easy customer journeys

Mobile-first responsive layouts

Every aspect of the design focused on making the browsing experience smooth, engaging and professional for both commercial and residential visitors.

The build

Web Development & Functionality for an E-Commerce Store

This was a highly customised WordPress and Elementor build that required detailed planning around importing and managing large product datasets supplied directly from manufacturers and suppliers.

As the website was not intended to process direct e-commerce payments initially, Whiteski Digital created custom enquiry functionality throughout all shop and product pages. This allowed visitors to enquire directly about specific products, quantities and project requirements through intelligent contact forms tailored to the customer journey.

Additional custom development included:

Bespoke shop page layouts

Product filtering and navigation

Custom enquiry forms

Project and blog structures

Advanced menu systems

Full mobile optimisation

The website was carefully developed to remain scalable as the business grows and evolves further online.

Search

SEO foundations and technical work

SEO optimisation was implemented throughout the entire website build as standard. Every product and page was correctly structured and optimised with:

Meta headlines and descriptions

Correct H tag structures

Optimised URLs

Sitemap setup and indexing

Technical SEO improvements

Mobile optimisation

Performance and user experience were also prioritised heavily to ensure the website performed strongly across all devices, particularly mobile where a large volume of traffic now originates from within the furniture and interiors market.
