Before they ring

What people check before ringing an electrician

Half your enquiries already know exactly what they want — an EICR, a charger, a fuse board. They are checking whether you are the right person to do it, not what an electrician does.

First

Are you actually certified?

NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA, Part P. Electrical work is one of the few trades where the customer genuinely knows to look for a registration, and a missing badge stops them dead.

We fix it with your scheme membership and registration number in the header, not buried on an about page.
Second

Do you do this specific job?

Somebody needing an EICR for a rental does not want a general services page. They want to read about EICRs, what it costs and how fast you can do it.

We fix it with a page per job — rewires, EICRs, chargers, fuse boards, fault finding — each written for that search.
Third

Can you come out to me?

Electricians cover a patch, not a country. “Greater Manchester” in the footer does not tell somebody in Radcliffe whether you will turn up.

We fix it with a page per town, naming the areas and the jobs you have actually done there.
What we build

What goes on an electrician's website

Built from forty-odd trades sites and from watching which pages produce the phone calls.

01
A page per job you doRewires, EICRs, EV chargers, consumer units, fault finding, outdoor lighting. Each one its own page.
02
EV charger pages that convertHigh value, high intent, and OZEV grant questions answered before they ring.
03
Landlord and letting agent pagesRepeat commercial work most electricians never build a page for. One page can win an agent.
04
Scheme registration up frontNICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA plus your Part P number, in the header where people look.
05
A page for every townNamed towns, real jobs, local schema. Ten towns is ten chances instead of one.

The bit nobody says out loud

You're already paying for leads. You just don't own anything.

Checkatrade, Rated People, Bark. The fee goes out monthly whether the work comes in or not, and the job lands with four sparkies at once. Put your number in.

Forty-one enquiries in a month, none of them shared

A real report from a Bolton electrician twelve months after launch. Look at what people actually searched — specific jobs, specific towns, nobody typing “electrician near me”.

1
Specific jobs, not general searchesEICRs, chargers and landlord certificates. Far less competition than the obvious terms.
2
You see which towns payEach location page tracked on its own, so you know where to spend next.
3
No lead fee, no sharingThe job comes to you, not to you and four others who all ring within a minute.

A real client report, twelve months in

Straight answer first

Which size of build is right for you?

One van or a team of six. We build both, and the only real question is how many jobs and towns you want to be found for.

Start here

£1,000 gets you online properly

Around fourteen pages, covering your main services and a handful of towns. Right if word of mouth already keeps you going.

  • ✓Word of mouth keeps you busy enough
  • ✓You work mostly for two or three builders
  • ✓You cover one or two towns
  • ✓You want somewhere solid to point people
  • ✓You can add pages later — nothing gets rebuilt
Most sparkies take this

£1,500 is the one that gets you found

Twenty-four pages: five services and ten towns. This is where the site stops being a business card and starts ringing.

  • ✓You want work in every town you cover
  • ✓EV chargers and EICRs are worth chasing properly
  • ✓You want landlord and agent work
  • ✓You've quiet weeks you'd like to fill
  • ✓You're paying a directory for shared leads

Most electricians take the £1,500 build — the extra £500 buys ten town pages, which is where nearly all the extra enquiries come from.

Bigger site?

Those prices assume about fifteen pages

Which is right for a new or small business. If you have been trading twenty years and built up sixty, eighty or a hundred pages, that is a different job and it deserves a proper quote rather than a package price.

✓We look at every existing page before quoting — some are worth keeping, plenty are not
✓Every old URL gets mapped and redirected so you keep your rankings
✓We have rebuilt hundred-page sites for around £8,000
✓Large jobs get more hands on them, not a longer timeline

What electricians usually add next

The site gets you found. These keep the work coming once it's live.

Nothing is bundled and nothing renews on its own. Add them when you want them, not before.

Questions

Electrician web design questions, answered

Will I rank for “electrician near me”?

Honestly, that one is brutal and we would not build a site around it. What we go after is the specific stuff — EICR in your town, EV charger installation in your town, landlord certificate in your town. Lower volume, far less competition, and the people searching already know what they want.

Are EV charger pages worth it?

They are one of the highest-value pages an electrician can have. High job value, clear intent, and a lot of people searching have grant and compatibility questions nobody has answered for them. It is a page that pays for itself quickly.

What about landlord work?

Most electricians never build a page for it, which is exactly why it is worth doing. One page about EICRs for landlords and letting agents can win a repeat commercial relationship rather than a single job.

Do I have to write anything?

Not a word. Ten short questions about what you do, where you work and the jobs you are proudest of. Most people finish it in the van in ten minutes.

I haven't got any decent photos.

Almost no sparky has. Send whatever is on your phone, tell us what you would rather not show, and we design around the gaps. Your own consumer unit beats a stock photo every time.

How many towns should I cover?

However many you would actually travel to. Ten is the usual sweet spot — enough to be worth doing, not so many that the pages start to feel thin.

Commercial and M&E contractors

Not every electrical business is chasing domestic callouts. For commercial and M&E contractors the site has to work before you reach a tender list: capabilities, sectors, accreditations and completed projects, easy to find. We have built for mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors and for fire and security installers.
